Molly McShane of Conor Commercial Real Estate, has begun her service as NAIOP’s first woman President for the 2018 term. NAIOP is a commercial real estate development association and is the leading organization for developers, owners and related professionals in office, industrial and mixed-use real estate. In Molly’s new role she will serve as President of the Board of the Chicago Chapter, consisting of 20 members and 11 Emeritus Board Members (Past Presidents).
Molly has been an active member of NAIOP Chicago since 2008 where she started as a Developing Leader member and was soon after appointed as President of its Developing Leaders Board. Her impeccable character and disposition earned her a position on the prestigious NAIOP Chicago Board in 2012. Molly has served as emcee of NAIOP Chicago Annual Awards for Excellence since 2014 as well as Co-Chair of the event in 2016 and 2017.
“I look forward to leading NAIOP Chicago with the same enthusiasm and ethical responsibility as our past Presidents,” stated Molly. “NAIOP Chicago has been my second home for many years now, and I am excited for what 2018 has in store.”
Molly is currently Chief Investment Officer of national developer Conor Commercial Real Estate headquartered in Rosemont, Illinois. She is responsible for the overall investment process for the firm, including strategy and best-in-class execution of all development activities nationwide. Molly has been with the firm for over 15 years. During her time, she has experienced much change and growth through the ever evolving means of the real estate industry. Over the course of her career, Molly has emerged as an influencer within the commercial real estate community. Her experience in the core competencies of Conor Commercial coupled with her skillful and ethical execution of commercial real estate development sets her apart from her industry peers.
In addition, Molly is a member of Marquette University’s Commercial Real Estate Advisory Board which provides job placement support and mentor programs for students at the University and is on the Advisory and Executive Board for ULI Chicago’s Women’s Leadership Initiative. She is also on the Advisory Council for IWIRE (Industrial Women in Real Estate) Chicago and assists in scheduling events that focus on specific educational goals.
